Entitlement cards for Gandhinagar parishioners
SSSS, Archdiocese of Gandhinagar facilitated various
government cards for the Parishioners of Cathedral Parish, Gandhinagar on 4th
December 2022. Fr. Francis Xavier, the Rector of the Cathedral announced in the
Church for 3 Sundays and did the ground work. 40 persons registered and
obtained e shram card, National Health card, Ayushman card to avail themselves
for various government entitlements. SSSS staff remained for 5 hours after the
Sunday Eucharist and helped our people. SSSS printed various documents and gave
the Parish Priest to be given to the concerned persons. We are grateful to Fr.
Francis Xavier for his support.
International day of persons with disabilities.
World Disability Day
SSSS, Archdiocese of Gandhinagar organized World
Disability Day on 3rd December 2022, on the feast of St. Francis
Xavier at St. Xavier’s School, Gandhinagar. Children and teachers from the
blind school, deaf and mute school, Mount Carmel School, Salesian Sisters, Disabled
persons from Gandhinagar and SSSS staff were present along with distinguished
guests. Dr. Tejal Dalal, Mr. Jayantibhai Patel encouraged the persons with
disabilities. His Grace Archbishop Thomas Macwan insisted on human dignity and
urged to see the divinity in each other. His Grace Archbishop Thomas gave a
useful memento to every person with disabilities. Archdiocese of Gandhinagar is
grateful to Archdiocese of Toronto, Fr. Arul Rayan and Sr. Jennifer Gomes for their
cooperation in making the event grand one. Fr. Xavier James thanked everyone
for making the day. Kudos to SSSS team for their hard work!
