Triple celebration and Gospel Sharing in Palanpur Parish

 Triple celebration at Palanpur

Palanpur Parish saw a triple celebration on 9th February. The first: RJM sisters celebrated their foundress St. Claudine's feast in the parish. The whole liturgy was animated by the sisters with entrance dance and offertory procession. At the end all wished the sisters a happy Feast and thanked them for their selfless service in Palanpur Mission.

The second: It was the 12th death anniversary of William Cruz of Iqbalgadh. The family is so devoted and faithful to the Catholic faith and the Church. Although the Church is too far from their home, still they make it for the Sunday Eucharist. These actions strengthen the faith of the community. The wife Tresa aunty and children Bindhu, Indhu along with grandchildren and relatives were present on this day. The family provided food for all the parishioners, boarding boys and girls. Surprisingly, many turned up to the cemetery to bless the tomb.

The third: The Holy Childhood Sunday was celebrated in the Parish. A special collection was made and sent to the Archdiocese. Much awareness was made before the celebration so we are helped by this Church organization. Boarding boys and girls engaged with telegames for the whole day with lunch and snacks in between. The games began at 10.30 am and ended at 4.30 pm. The children enjoyed it the most. These activities helped us to give Jesus to the children so that one day they will realize that it is the Catholic Church which boosted their self image and self confidence, and brought to light the hidden talents of the children.

Gospel Sharing in the families

Seven Steps Method of Gospel sharing has been conducted at various families in Palanpur Parish. The families express their availability and so the fathers and sisters from the parish reach the families in the evenings to be part of the Gospel sharing. We have experienced and witnessed many people reading the Word of God and participating in spontaneous prayers.  May the Word of God find home in us!
