 Seeds Fair in Palanpur Parish

CHANGE II programme has been going on in Palanpur villages by Sabarmati Samruddhi Seva Sangh, Gandhinagar supported by Manos Unidas, Spain. On 21^st October 2024, Seeds Fair 'Beeyaran Melo' was organized by the animators of CHANGE project at Dhanpura village of Amirgadh block in Palanpur Parish. His Grace Archbishop Thomas Macwan, Archbishop of Gandhinagar, Rev. Fr. Deepak Toppo, Director of SSSS, SSSS staff were present for this programme. Animators from Kheralu, Deesa, Danta, Palanpur had gathered for this 'beeyaran Melo'. The Women from Tadoli, Bedla, Dhanpua villages had gathered together for seeds festival. Fr. Xavier James urged the people to preserve the traditional seeds and cultivate and make them part of their food system so that malnutrition could be brought to minimum. His Grace Archbishop asked the women to educate the children and make use of the food available to them. Fr. Deepak told the gathering to share the seeds with others. SSSS also distributed seeds to the women who were present for this programme. Bravo to all the Animators who were involved in the planning and executing of this Seeds Fair in the Tribal village.
