Animators' training programmes & World Disability day in Gandhinagar.
World Day of disability Rally in Gandhinagar
International day of persons with disabilities was
celebrated in Gandhinagar Archdiocese on 3rd December 2019. In
commemoration to mark the World Disability day, a rally was held at St.
Xavier’s School, Gandhinagar. His Grace Archbishop Thomas Macwan, Metropolitan
Archbishop of Gandhinagar flagged off the rally which was for half an hour. On
reaching St. Xavier’s School campus, Mr. Victor Mecwan, IAS and His Grace
Archbishop spoke and encouraged the persons with disabilities to do their best
and grab the government entitlements. 100 Children and staff from Gandhinagar
blind school and deaf and mute school were overjoyed as many people came to
show their solidarity with them. SSSS staff did a wonderful work with the
support of Fr. Cruz, Principal of St. Xavier’s School, Gandhinagar.
SSSS health & women animators’ meeting at Pethapur
On 9th and 10th December 2019,
Animators of Sabarmati Samruddhi Seva Sangh had gathered at Jeevan Vikas
Kendra, Pethapur for Documentation and book keeping workshop and Review and
planning meeting. On the first day, Mr. Vaibhav & Mr. Jaifin helped the
animators and volunteers of women’s cooperatives to write the documents and
keep them uptodate. On the second day, Ms. Sharmila and Mr. Anil animated the
review and planning meeting for health workers. Fr. Xavier asked both the group
to write their daily diary so to be so efficient and professional. 10 MSW
students from Mehsana and Randheja colleges participated in the training
programmes and felt it to be very informative and acquired much knowledge by
interacting with the women.
