On 27^th September 2021, SSSS reached out to 16 families of HIV positive, with food grains to sustain them for a month. It was a request from Vihan and the print media took note of it.

On 28^th September 2021, SSSS reached out to 190 families of widows and orphans at Virampur block of Banaskantha district. Fr. Julian along with his team did the survey of the area and SSSS staff went with food grains to help them. Kudos to Fr. Julian!

 Community Educators’ training programme on government schemes

Two days training programme for the community educators of NICE phase II was organized at Jeevan Vikas Kendra from 23^rd to 24^th September 2021 by SSSS. Community Educators from Meghraj, Bhiloda, Nana Kantharia, Khiloda participated in it and the topic was on various government schemes and preparing organic manure. His Grace Archbishop Thomas Macwan was present and encouraged the community educators to be more effective in their work among rural women to help themselves.

 Annual General Body Meeting of SSSS

18^th Annual General Body Meeting of Sabarmati Samruddhi Seva Sangh was held on 2^nd September 2021 at Jeevan Vikas Kendra, Pethapur, Gandhinagar. His Grace Archbishop Thomas Macwan presided over the meeting and an annual report was released. The SSSS staff came forward to report to the gathering of the many projects, which are going on at SSSS in the Archdiocese of Gandhinagar. The members appreciated SSSS staff for their selfless service during covid pandemic. Each member was given a memento by SSSS staff.

 

Food grains distribution to persons with disabilities at Poshina

SSSS, Archdiocese of Gandhinagar reached out to Poshina in Sabarkantha district with food grains to 55 persons with disabilities and their families. His Grace Archbishop Thomas Macwan, Fr. Xavier James, SSSS staff went to Poshina on 4^th September 2021 and met many persons with multiple disabilities and presented food provision kits. Kudos to Frs. Thomas Kolady, Yowan and Mr. Mukeshbhai for surveying the area and reaching out to needy persons.
