Visit to various parishes

On 27^th January 2024, SSSS Director along with Staff visited various villages of Aravalli district. They visited Damboliya village where the animators conducted a training for 35 women on government schemes. After that, they visited Napada village and the animators conducted a training on Gram sabha for 30 women. Thereafter Frs. Xavier James and Martin Alvaris distributed certificates to 5 women who completed tailoring training at Khiloda. Then they set off to Jabchiteria village where 25 women had gathered for training on benefits of planting nutrition fruit trees. Fr. Xavier James distributed certificates to 8 women who completed tailoring training at Nanakantharia. Then they went to Ravtawada village where 25 women had gathered for training on feeding the new born and advantages of fruit trees. SSSS is proud of its animators who with the help of Srs. Prafulla, Selin, Asuntha organized and conducted the programme very well.

Western Region Social Work Directors' Meeting

Western Region Social Work Directors’ Meeting in Gandhinagar.

Western Region Social Work Directors from Goa, Gujarat and Maharastra dioceses came to Gandhinagar Archdiocese for their reflection meeting from 22^nd to 24^th January 2024. 14 participants took active part in the sharing and input session by Mr. Victor Mecwan IAS and Ms. Rosily Victor. The theme was on Media visibility of our Church’s work through various mediums. SSSS staff presented various projects which are doing much good to people. The participants visited various field of SSSS projects and were overwhelmed by the work of SSSS staff. His Grace Archbishop Thomas Macwan, His Grace Archbishop Stanislaus Fernandes, His Lordship Jose Chittooparambil offered mass for them and prayed for the directors. Thanks to SSSS staff, Fr. Arul Britto, Kitchen staff for all their assistance.
