SSSS CHANGE Project launched in the Archdiocese

Manos Unidas has approved a project of SSSS on CHANGE (Child & Mother’s Health is to be improved And promoted through Nutrition in north Gujarat Environment). After doing the groundwork, it was officially launched on 29th July 2020. This project is executed in four parishes i.e. Deesa, Palanpur, Vadgam, Keralu. It was a joy to start the work in Banaskantha district and Kheralu Taluka. The meeting began with prayer, lighting of the lamp, welcome and introduction of the project. The meeting ended with clarification and future plans. (Xavier James)

SSSS reaches out to the homeless & hungry

In the month of July, SSSS, Archdiocese of Gandhinagar surveyed the nearby villages and reached out to the homeless who live on the footpath and under small hut with tarpaulin for shelter to survive during the monsoon season. His Grace Archbishop was present to distribute tarpaulin to 27 families and food grains to 23 families of orphans and migrants. SSSS reached out to Rupal, Vavol, Mansa, Kalol in Gandhinagar district. Bravo to SSSS team for recognizing the need of the poor and acting upon instantly. (Xavier James)

SSSS Out Reach Programmes for women & persons with disabilities.


SSSS Field visits for project work in the Archdiocese

SSSS staff is committed for fieldwork as well as documentation. July 2020, Fr. Xavier James, Director of SSSS accompanied the staff for field visit to Radhanpur, Mehsana and Mandali. He met the sisters and core committee of each women’s cooperative and listened to their progress and problems that are faced by them. He urged them to tap the local resources from NABARD for better skill training and coordination. He asked them to keep the record ready as anytime government officials would come for inspection, as the women’s cooperatives now are registered entity. 



SSSS brings Joy to differently abled

On 14th July 2020, Sabarmati Samruddhi Seva Sangh, Archdiocese of Gandhinagar brought joy into 19 hearts of differently abled persons. SSSS staff surveyed persons with disabilities from Gandhinagar, Kalol, Mansa Talukas. After online application for government entitlements with necessary documents, 19 persons were fortunate to receive wheel chairs, walker etc… Bravo to SSSS staff for commendable work.  (Xavier James)
