 SSSS reaches out to underprivileged

SSSS, Archdiocese of Gandhinagar identified the migrant workers at Uvarsad and reached out to the needy with food grains and preventive materials. In the month of June, SSSS focused on orphan children whose parents passed away due to Corona virus pandemic. It reached out to such families with preventive materials, food grains and nutrition kits. It also helped them to obtain government schemes, which are applicable to them. It helped persons with disabilities, widows and needy families with food grains at Ankol, Pethapur, Vavol, Raisan, Veda, Kalol, Dameda, Mansa, Unava, Shiholi in Gandhinagar district. Sabarmati Samruddhi Seva Sangh, the social service wing of the Archdiocese of Gandhinagar has come to the aid of the poor and needy persons affected due to 2nd wave of Corona virus pandemic. In April 2021, SSSS surveyed Gandhinagar and distributed food grains to 20 families who were affected by covid. It also distributed bournvita, multivitamin tablets, masks, sanitizer, oximeter etc. to two government children’s homes in Gandhinagar. As the situation is bad, SSSS will soon contact our parishes to find out the poor and needy in our Archdiocese in order to reach out to them with food grains. All Glory to God!
