Community Educators’ training programme
Training on organic kitchen garden and organic food
was conducted at JVK, Gandhinagar from 24th to 26th August
2021. 20 Community Educators who work in interior villages participated in it
from Banaskantha and Aravalli districts. Sharmila Mendoza and Anil Dabhi, SSSS
Out Reach Workers facilitated the training which was very informative. We are
grateful to Manos Unidas for helping us generously with these projects.

Vegetable seeds distribution by SSSS
Vegetable seeds distribution by SSSS
SSSS, as part of Nutrition Improvement through
Community Empowerment (NICE-2) project funded by Manos Unidas, Spain
distributed vegetable seeds to interior villages of Bhiloda and Meghraj blocks
of Aravalli district. The director along with Outreach workers and community
educators visited project villages and after making aware of nutritious food
presented seeds of sponge gourd, cowpea, okra, bottle gourd, clusterbean. People
of Mehru, Mota Dodisara, Nana Dodisara, Rudhradi, Dhantya, Napada, Khiloda,
Jamgadh, Motipantoli, Kagda Mahuda, Ramela, Motakantharia, Kadwath villages were
glad to receive vegetable seeds. Thanks to the fathers and sisters who encourage
our people towards organic food habits.

SSSS reaches out to mission dispensaries of the Archdiocese
SSSS reaches out to dispensaries of the Archdiocese
SSSS, Archdiocese of Gandhinagar reached out to
Bhiloda and Nanakantharia mission dispensaries with oxygen concentrators and
Medicines on 3rd August 2021. His Grace Archbishop Thomas
accompanied SSSS staff in blessing and presenting oxygen concentrators and
medicine to Sr. Premila, Sr. Selvi and Sr. Viji. We were glad to have Fr.
Jebamalai the dean of Sabarkantha and Aravalli Deanery. Bhiloda &
Nanakantharia mission dispensaries have been catering to hundreds of patients
everyday, and these instruments and medicine will be of some relief to the hard
working and committed sisters. The concentrators are sponsored by Caritas
Germany through Caritas India. Other materials are sponsored by Archdiocese of
Toronto, Canada. May God bless all the donors!
