 Exposure visit to Agriculture University, Dantiwada & Distribution of 10 Kinds of vegetable seeds

On 24th November 2021, Community Educators of CHANGE programme which is supported by Manos Unidas, went to Agriculture University at Dantiwada in Banaskantha district for their exposure visit on Organic Kitchen garden. The professors Dr. Manish Patel, Dr. Prakash Patel, Dr. Jaimin were well versed with their knowledge of theory and practice explained to Community Educators and took them around the campus to show how a kitchen garden ought to be. It was an excellent programme.

As CHANGE Community Educators work in 45 villages of Banaskantha district, they were given 10 vegetable seeds to be sown near their respective homes during this winter season. Seeds of lablab bean, Radish, Beetroot, Fenugreek, Carrot, Bottle gourd, Okra, Brinjal, Palak, Tomato were given to 750 families so that they could have nutrious food in their homes. We are grateful to Manos Unidas. Kudos to Sharmila and Anil for their hard work.

On 16th and 17th November 2021, Community Educators of NICE phase II had gathered together at Pethapur to be trained on Organic farming. Sabarmati Samruddhi Seva Sangh staff Anil & Sharmila along with resource person Mr. Raveendra did a very good job in imparting practical knowledge to the simple but active community educators, which included games also.

 SSSS supports dispensaries of the Archdiocese

On 3rd November 2021, Sabarmati Sarmruddhi Seva Sangh staff went to Bhiloda, Nanakantharia and Modasa to distribute medicines to our mission dispensaries. This is the second time the archdiocesan dispensaries are helped with medicine. The Archdiocese of Gandhinagar and SSSS are grateful to the Archdiocese of Toronto, Canada for its generosity to help the needy and heal the sick. Glory to God!
