St. Anthony's Feast at Palanpur

On 13th June 2024, St. Anthony's feast was celebrated at Divya Jyot Church, Palanpur. 185 boys and 85 girls from the boardings, MC and RJM sisters and 40 parishioners participated in the solemn Holy Eucharist presided over and sung by Fr. Glasius Raj and preached by Fr. Julian Raj. Frs. Xavier James and Sonu Walia were the concelebrants. Our Archdiocese has only one memorial for St. Anthony, which is in Palanpur. As it was the first day of the school, special prayers were offered for the students and teachers. As both priests are visiting Catholic homes good participation was witnessed for the celebration. After the Holy Eucharist, Prayer to St. Anthony was recited in front of the grotto of St. Anthony. Everyone shared the bun which is traditionally distributed on this day.

Outreach by MC Sisters

Albana, Lawrena, Ancy Kiran make a difference through their charitable works. Thanks Frs. Isidore Almeida, Julian Raj and Salvador Fernandes who helped them in preparing the ways. Fr. Xavier James also joins them in their reach out to various villages.
