Caritas India Meeting
Caritas India had organized two days’ meeting to
evaluate the ongoing project named ‘Sanjivini’ and to write new project proposal
at Hansol, Ahmedabad on 18th & 19th November 2019.
All the four dioceses have participated with bishops, directors and animators. Fr.
Jolly, Assistant Executive director of Caritas India, Dr. Saju and Mr. Nirmal
Minj were present for the meeting. All the dioceses presented their reports and
Caritas India was very happy and acknowledged the hard work of each diocese.
They assured to support us with the same project for another year.
International
Children’s Day Celebration
A week day long children’s
day celebration began on 14th November 2019 and ended on 21st
November 2019. Child line 1098 of SSSS staff had organized several programmes
in the schools and slums such as story telling, rangoli, drawing, painting,
quiz competitions etc. The culmination was with cutting of cake with the
Superintendent of Police of Gandhinagar district and children. Ms. Teresa
Benedict from Child India Foundation also was present for the event.
CBRF Meeting
Collective Basic Right Foundation had its evaluation
meeting at SSSS, Pethapur on 25th, 26th, 27th
November 2019. SSSS staff, animators and volunteers from different parishes
participated in it. Mr. Kabui was the resource person for it. As the
Archdiocese, we have resolved to cater to persons with 21 types of
disabilities. Hence, basic survey was taken wherever SSSS projects are running
right now and gradually will move to cover the whole Archdiocese. The aim is to
include persons with disabilities in our parishes, schools and in all our
works. We have also planned to celebrate ‘World Disability day’ on 3rd
December 2019 in Gandhinagar city.
