Sharing the joy of Christmas & World Migrant Day at SSSS

 Sharing Christmas Joy with our needy Catholic families in the Archdiocese

Keeping in mind the aftermath of Corona situation, SSSS, Archdiocese of Gandhinagar asked all the Parish Priests of the Archdiocese to get the names of the needy Catholic families in their respective parishes in order to share food provisions with them, so that they could celebrate Christmas in a meaningful manner. Answering to the request many parish priests surveyed the parish and sent the list to SSSS. SSSS Director and Staff went with food provisions and distributed to needy Catholic families. The Director urged the Catholics to be regular for Sunday mass and be active Catholics stating that these help comes only for needy and practicing Catholics. On 6th December, SSSS went to Himmatnagar and Nanakantharia parishes and distributed food provisions to 200 families. On 9th December, SSSS went to Mehsana, Siddhpur, Palanapur, Vadgam, Deesa parishes and distributed food grains to 100 families. On 10th December, SSSS went to Gandhinagar and Mandali parishes and distributed food provisions to 120 families. On 13th December, SSSS went to Pahadiya parish to distribute food grains to 71 families. On 15th December, SSSS went to Meghraj, Bayad & Modasa parishes to distribute food grains to 160 families. On 18th December, SSSS went to Unteshwari to distribute food grains to 50 families with persons with disabilities.

SSSS is grateful to all parish priests of the above parishes for their support to reach out to the poor and needy of the Archdiocese of Gandhinagar.

World Migrant Day Celebration

World Migrant Day was celebrated on 18th December 2021 at Kalol in Gandhinagar district. Sabarmati Samruddhi Seva Sangh with its director and staff organized the programme for the welfare of the migrants. Prior to, this day they were surveyed and made need was assessed. 25 needy and poor migrant families were given food grains and 30 children were given warm clothes to protect them from this winter cold. 35 of them were given E Shramik card. Kudos to SSSS staff!
