Gandhinagar, Chatral, Mandali Reports of SSSS

 Various Entitlement cards for Gandhinagar parishioners

SSSS, Archdiocese of Gandhinagar facilitated various government cards for the Parishioners of Cathedral Parish, Gandhinagar on 5th February 2023, on the blessing of the renovated Cathedral Church. Fr. Francis Xavier, the Rector of the Cathedral announced in the Church for 3 Sundays and did the ground work. 18 persons registered and obtained e shram card, National Health card, Ayushman card to avail themselves for various government entitlements. All SSSS staff remained outside the Church for 4 hours and helped our people. SSSS printed various documents and gave the Parish Priest to be given to the concerned persons. We are grateful to Fr. Francis Xavier for his support.

SSSS visit to Skill Training at Chatral

SSSS Director and Staff visited Chatral on 17th February 2023 to see the skill training programme which is being conducted for the migrant women living near GIDC, Chatral. With the support of the local people SSSS had began beautician training for 27 women in December 2022 and many have learnt it well and the teacher is also so efficient in her profession. It was a joy to see these needy people learning some skills to stand on their own feet. Glory to God

Women’s Cooperative Meeting at Mandali

On 18th February 2023 the members of Fatima Women’s cooperative came together at Xavier Ashram at Mandali for their Annual General Body Meeting. Munniben & Hasinaben did the ground work to organize the programme with the help of Frs. Velanganni & Xavier Amalraj. During the meeting, activity report and financial report were read and new resolutions were passed. Fr. Xavier James encouraged the women to bring in more members and avail the trainings which are conducted at Xavier Residence by SSSS. He thanked SSSS staff Vaibhav & Jaifin for assisting the women to complete their government audit. Frs. Vela and Amalraj encouraged the women and assured their wholehearted support for the betterment of the women in their parish.
