 Palanhari Mata Mariyam no Melo

In order to prepare ourselves for the annual feast of Palanhari Mata Mariyam on the Nativity of our Blessed Mother, Tridum was planned and organized by the parishioners of Palanpur. Different families took up the arrangement and celebration of the Sacred Liturgy. On the first day Frs. Glasius Raj & Julian Raj celebrated the Holy Eucharist and preached the Word of God. On the second day Fr. Shantilal celebrated the Holy Eucharist and preached. On the third day Fr. Shaiji celebrated the Holy Eucharist and preached. The faithful took the lead in lighting of the lamp, introduction, proclamation of the Word of God, prayer of the faithful, offertory, Novena Prayer and Aarati to the Palanhari Mata Mariyam. On the feast day, Our Lady's statue was brought in procession from the Convent school to the Church with Rosary in various languages and hymns to our Lady. Rev. Fr. Dr. Arasakumar presided over the solemn Holy Eucharist which was concelebrated by 8 priests. The choir boys and girls led the congregation into devotion and vigor. The boys decorated the Church and Our Lady's grotto. The sisters helped in setting the altar for the Holy Eucharist. The faithful took the lead in the entire liturgical celebration. Faithful from Deesa, Vadgam, Siddhpur had joined the celebration together with boys and girls from Deesa. After the Eucharist Aarati to our Blessed Mother, Palanhari Mata took place after lowering the Mariyan flag everyone participated in the Agape Meal and left for their homes with joyful memories.
