Archdiocese of Gandhinagar comes to the aid of migrants

SSSS, Archdiocese of Gandhinagar came to the aid of migrants

From 19th to 24th April SSSS staff members were on their toes to reach out to the migrants, poor daily wagers in Gandhinagar district and in Radhanpur parish. After surveying and obtaining all the essential details of the persons, food grains were distributed to the needy. It was touching to hear from some people that they had something to eat and could be given to people poorer than them. Many generous hearts helped SSSS over these days financially so that we could reach out to the needy to fill their hunger with bread.

SSSS staff along with Archbishop Thomas Macwan went to Gandhinagar civil hospital and handed over masks, hand sanitizer, liquid hand wash for the ordinary staff of the hospital. God makes us his instruments during these days to reach out to the vulnerable in the society. SSSS is grateful to the Archbishop for his encouragement. Kudos to SSSS staff.

SSSS reaches out to Migrants

SSSS, Archdiocese of Gandhinagar reaches out to Migrants

SSSS reached out to 48 migrant families with food grains on 16th & 17th April 2020 near Indra Bridge, Ring Road, Bhat. After distributing SSSS contacted the engineer of the building construction site and the owner of the factory and asked them to take care of the labourers who have come in their work place. This is to do with the sustainability of the work which we initiated in these areas with regard to the migrants. SSSS staff will check the sites time to time to see whether any help is done. We have helped to fill their hunger for now, meanwhile we need to approach the responsible persons to take care of these people for sustainability. We have been updating the district magistrate and the block officer of our work in the Archdiocese of Gandhinagar in all the 6 districts specially in Gandhinagar district.
