My Dear,
With
profound gratitude to you and to God I bow my head in prayer as I enter into 15th
year of my Sacerdotal life on 1st May 2021. I thank God for His
abundant grace which He has showered on me during the past years especially in
the past one year. During the Pandemic God has been so good to me and the staff
of Sabarmati Samruddhi Seva Sangh, to reach out to the poor, marginalized and
needy people in the Archdiocese of Gandhinagar in all the 6 districts of North
Gujarat.
The Lord
has been so gracious in His mercy that He has safe guarded me from all evil and
made me His instrument to reach out to the needy human beings who are in His
image & likeness. It was a great joy in reaching out to the poor and needy.
Many good and generous hearts have supported me in reaching out to the
vulnerable in the society. Archdiocesan Directory was brought forth after 7
years with the cooperation of many people. Liturgical prayers and reflections
were written for the benefit of the Church in Gujarat. Many retreats were
preached during the year for religious sisters and people of God. Being a
pastor to few Migrant Catholics added flavor to the priestly ministry. Brought
renewal in documentation, reporting, administration of SSSS and gave the work a
professional shape.
Much good
has been done in the past one year. I too have realized that I am a weak human
being in need of God’s grace to guide me constantly. Regular prayers before the Eucharistic Lord
and celebrations of the Holy Eucharist with proper preparation and disposition
has energized me as a priest. Devotion to our Blessed Mother has made me down
to earth priest who knows the pain and suffering of common people. Regular
spiritual direction and participation in the Sacrament of Reconciliation has
bestowed on me grace upon grace.
I have
realized that God is the author of my life and He leads and guides me to walk
and live in His path. He is the Source and we are only the human Resource. This
realization has made me to focus on the Source who has bestowed all the
blessing which are needed to grow into His likeness. God is love and love means
only giving and not counting the cost. This realization has molded me to do
good although none appreciates and none notices. I am anointed to do good and
so do good and share the love of God to all who come in contact with me. I have
been sharing my God experience with people whenever and wherever I get chance
to be the witness of God’s mercy and compassion. This spreads much positive
vibrations in the surroundings. When I focus on my suffering and share about myself
only, then there is much negativity, which is spread rather being witness of
God’s love spreads much positivity to oneself and to the listeners who in turn are
encouraged to share about their own God experience to others.
I have
enjoyed the warmth and genuine concern of my mother, family members and you who
care for me, wish me, remember me, encourage me and pray for me.
I am
grateful to God as His hands guide and lead me. May I be a blessing to all whom
I meet with much cheer and joy. Praying for you. Kindly whisper a prayer for
me. Thank you.
With Love,
Xavier James.
Dear
With
immense joy and gratitude to God and to you in my heart, on 1st May
2022, I enter into 16th year of my life as Catholic Priest. Past 15
years have taught me a lot and I have learnt from experiences and persons. I am
thankful to God for leading and guiding my life in His path by making me aware
of the providence and benevolence of God. I thank you also for your
accompaniment and encouragement with which I am growing. The time I spend in
front of the Blessed Sacrament and celebrating the Holy Eucharist energizes me
to do my best. It is the time I spend with Him motivates me to reach out to the
needy and the periphery. I surrender myself to the Lord that Jesus may use my
feet, hands and heart to spread His values to everyone. I thank our Blessed
Mother Mary for her intercession and protection. Kindly continue to pray for me
that I may live out my priestly life unto the heart of Jesus. Thank you very
much for your support and May the Holy Spirit fill us during this Easter
season. Thank you. Love, Xavier James.
