SSSS distribution of Disability certificates
On 19th & 20th May 2023, SSSS Director and Staff went to Sonipur, Rupal and Randheja in Gandhinagar to distribute National disability certificate to persons with disabilities. It goes this way: SSSS staff survey the villages on 21 kinds of disabilities and obtain all the documents to apply online for this certificate. Thereafter those persons are accompanied to Gandhinagar General Hospital to undergo various tests to verify their eligibility for such certification. Then doctors send the reports and the certificates are obtained online and by post together with UDID. This enables them to avail for government schemes. 56 persons with disability receive Rs.1,000 each, every month as disability pension from the government. 62 persons with disability received Free Bus Pass from the government. 1 person with disability has received a house worth Rs.3,50,000 from the government. They have invariably expressed that they tried many times by themselves and did not get the benefits and now they have received these benefits through the intervention and hard work of SSSS staff.
