 National Youth Sunday celebration in the Archdiocese of Gandhinagar

 National Youth Sunday was celebrated in the Archdiocese of Gandhinagar on 5^th August 2023. 116 Youth had gathered at Jeevan Vikas Kendra Pastoral Centre, Pethapur. There were 30 priests and nuns who were present for the gathering. 5 youth shared about various activities which are carried out by the youth in different parishes. His Grace Archbishop Thomas Macwan addressed the gathering and encouraged the youth to be more helpful as Mother Mary was and to be obedient to their parents using many anecdotes. Thereafter, Srs. Anita and Vaneeta entertained the youth with action songs and games which enlightened the mood of Youth Sunday. Again, 4 youth shared their own experience how they were obedient to their parents and received many blessing. It is worth to note that they have high value of family life. His Grace Archbishop indicated the present reality of the young people and warned them to be careful about their friends and not to get into drugs. The Eucharistic adoration was conducted by Fr. Malar pointing out the situation in Manipur and asking everyone to pray for peace. He also brought to light that how rejection of oneself becomes a poison. His Grace Archbishop concluded it with Eucharistic benediction. He gave a memento to the priests and nuns for encouraging the youth. Thanks to Fr. Britto for tea and snacks.
