 Archbishop visits Danta, Amirgadh, Siddhpur

His Grace Archbishop Thomas Macwan together with Fr. Xavier James and SSSS staff visited health & empowerment programme in Banaskantha and Patan districts on 16^th September 2023. The Tribal welcomed His Grace Archbishop at Harivav and SSSS animators briefed the Archbishop about the health programmes, which are going on in different villages. Many men and women stood up and bore witness to the government schemes they obtained through the intervention of SSSS. His Grace Archbishop motivated the tribal to save the nature unitedly and educate the children. SSSS is grateful to Fr. Julian.

 

Thereafter, His Grace Archbishop was welcomed traditionally by women and children at Dhanpura Aanganwadi. SSSS animators exhibited various nutrition food items and asked the women and children to intake such food in order to be healthy and to reduce malnutrition. His Grace Archbishop was moved with pity for large number of poor children encouraged the women to breast feed them, as they are malnourished and educate them in our boarding at Palanpur. Then, His Grace Archbishop was welcomed by women of Shital Chhaya Women’s cooperative, Umru-Siddhpur. He visited the exhibition of the products prepared by the women and girls of tailoring, embroidery and beautician training. His Grace Archbishop thanked the teachers and encouraged the women and girls to join the cooperative in order to stand on their own feet. SSSS is grateful to Frs. Sibi, Shantilal.
