World day of Indigenous People in Palanpur
World
day of Indigenous people was celebrated on 9th August 2024 in
Catholic Ashram, Palanpur. Tribal boys, girls, men and women joined together
and went on a rally to show their unity and identity. At the end of the rally,
Fr. Deepak Toppo, SSSS Director, Gandhinagar, Sr. Ilene RJM, Ms. Mafiben Majirana,
Mr. Mukesh Dabhi, Mr. Govabhai Alumini of Catholic Ashram, Palanpur and Fr.
Shankar Dodiyar addressed the gathering and encouraged the tribals in order to
go higher. At the end of the programme Haribhai & Naranbhai thanked everyone.
Radhaben, Lalabhai, Pintubhai, Bhikhiben from Danta and Amirgadh villages came in
their traditional attire to participate in the programme. All the boys and girls
were so thrilled with the programme that they got into their feet and danced their
traditional Adivasi dance.
