Palanpur Activities.

Visit to Ambaji villages

On 13^th August 2024 SSSS Director Fr. Deepak, SSSS staff, FMA sisters and Fr. Xavier James visited Dabavalivav and Jambera villages near Ambaji Mandir. In both villages women had gathered and the animators conducted session on active participation in the forth coming Gram Sabha meeting which would be held on 15^th of August. All encouraged the women to take advantage of government schemes.

Twin Feast in Palanpur

On 15^th August 2024, 78^th Independence day was celebrated in Palanpur Parish by hoisting the flag and saluting it in front of the Church by Fathers, Students, Staff of Catholic Ashram, Palanpur. In the evening Solemn Feast of Assumption our Blessed Mother Mary was celebrated with the Holy Eucharist followed by agape meal for all. Parish Fathers, sisters, parishioners, boarding boys and girls had meal together. It was a great joy in being together and celebrating twin feasts.  

Visit to Virampur villages

On 16^th August 2024, Fr. Xavier James, MC sisters, RJM sister visited Gavra, Bedla, Ajapur, Dabeli for meeting with women of these villages. SSSS animators Sureshbhai, Bhikhiben, Savitaben conducted the training on participation in the Gram Sabha. We were surprised to learn that the women were not aware of gram sabha which take place four times in a year. Some men reported that in many of their village panchayat without holding such meetings reports are sent. It is a sad situation.
